Gaighata Government Polytechnic, 2nd government polytechnic in 24 PGS(N) was founded on an area covering 5.16 acre of land beside NH-112 as an initiative of state government to spread technical awareness to every nook and corner of the state. This institute,15 - 30 minutes from Chandpara or Bongaon railway station, has started its journey from 01.08.2017. The institute, comprising of one three-storied main building and a workshop. Aspiring students have to testify their candidature through the public examination titled JEXPO or through VOCLET. The institute is gathering strength to consolidate itself as a leading destination of polytechnic aspiring students. The College has been named after the Gaighata Block. The College will always endeavor to develop a socially responsible, intellectually , intellectually independent, complete individual irrespective of his/her caste, creed and gender.
