CANNING is small town in the district of south 24 parganas of West Bengal. NARAYANPUR is a small village near GOURDAHA railway station of canning block. Canning Government Polytechnic is a new government polytechnic at Narayanpur village (Middle of Sonarpur and Canning town).It is mainly located in pollution free, eco-friendly environment of Canning-II block. The institute was started 1st august 2019 with three branches of diploma in engineering i.e. Computer Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy with total 100 numbers of students.The college is affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical Education and Skill Development and is approved by All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE). Actutal intake approved by AICTE is 180 numbers of students ( Computer Science and Technology- 60nos,Electrical Engineering- 60nos. and Renewable Energy- 60nos.). Institute intends to develop good quality engineers.
