Bundwan Polytechnic was established in 2009 under the aegis of the Department of Technical Education and Training, Government of West Bengal. The purpose of situating this Institute in the Junglemahal area was to spread and promote technical education among the dwellers of one of  the remotest corners of the state and also to empower the human resource to come up with the flourish of full potentiality. 

The Institute, through the passing years, has made its place as an institute of choice for the students. with the available resources, the institute continues its glorious run in the field of technical education.
