Sir Rajendra Nath Mukherjee Govt. Polytechnic(Erstwhile Basirhat Govt. Polytechnic) has been constructed by he Technical Education and Training Department, Govt of West Bengal in a plot of land donated by the Managing Committee of Bhyabla Tantra Sir Rajendra High School , Bhyabla, Basirhat .The institute is located near Bhyabla railway station Basirhat, North 24 Parganas, on Sir R.N.Mukherjee Road( Basirhat Nazat road). The construction work of the institute building has been completed. The institute has got approval from the statutory body of Govt of India, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Student admission has started from the academic session 2019-20. Initially the institute has started its journey with three branches, Computer Science, Renewable Energy and Electrical engineering.
