Planning to establish a polytechnic college at Uluberia - I under Howrah district was taken under Multi Sectoral Development Programme by Ministry of Minority Affairs , Govt. of India in 2012 and Government of West Bengal sanctioned Rs.14.39 Crore in 2015 for construction of the institute building at the site of Boalia , Uluberia - I , Howrah . The institute building was completed by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority ( KMDA ) in December , 2020 . AICTE sanctioned letter of approval for starting the academic session in 2021-22 for the three diploma course in engineering namely Mechanical Engineering , Computer Science & Technology & Chemical Engineering with intake capacity of sixty student in each stream. As a founder head of the institution , Sri Kunal Kanti Sarkar discharged his duties as Principal during 17.08.2018 to 15.02.2021 and presently Sri Tapas Kumar De is discharging his duties as Principal from 15.02.2021 .
