Setting up a New Polytechnic at Kaliachak, Malda was proposed on the land comprising of area 5.42 acres by Govt. of West Bengal in the year 2015. The construction works of this polytechnic started in the year 2016. The Institute acquired AICTE approval as a New Institution in the academic year 2019-2020 and started its journey with three Diploma Engineering courses- Computer Science & Technology, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering with an approved intake capacity of 60 students each. The Institution is also affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD. This is a fast growing Government Polytechnic in the State of West Bengal with highly equipped laboratories and other infrastructural facilities along with qualified devoted faculties and staff.
