ELIGIBILITY
1.  Candidates who have passed Madhyamik (10+) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent examination approved by any recognized state/national Board/Council are eligible for admission to the 1st Year of any full-time Diploma Course offered by the institute
2.  Candidates must satisfy medical fitness as prescribed by WBSCTVESD. Medical certificate(s) from registered medical practitioner(s) is / are to be produced by the candidate at the time of selection for the purpose.
3.  Candidates must be citizens of India

MODE OF SELECTION
All allotted seats of each Department are filled up on the basis of the merit list published by the Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to State Polytechnics (Named as JEXPO) conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. The candidates qualified in JEXPO examination must go through online counseling conducted by Central Selection Committee
