The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering has started its journey in 2015 with the establishment of this college (Maynaguri Government Polytechnic). AICTE approved Intake capacity of this department is 60. The departmental has number of qualified and experienced faculty. The department is also well equipped with laboratory facility for the academic development for the students, viz. Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Process Control labs etc. The department has well maintained computer systems and multimedia projector especially for virtual instrumentation laboratory. Plenty of job opportunity are available for students in various process industries. This is a highly specialized inter disciplinary course having wide job opportunity in India such as Automation, Electronics, Biomedical instrumentation, Automobile, Power, Steel, Fertilizers, Clinical, Refineries, Cement manufacturing, Sugar plant etc. After completion of the Diploma in instrumentation and control engineering students are eligible to take admission for BE/B.Tech. in different branches of Engineering.
