BS101 - Mathematics-I

BS101.01

Apply the basic concepts of logarithm, complex number, quadratic equation and binomial theorem for solving the engineering and practical problems.

BS101.02

Find the solutions of vector oriented problems like work done, moment etc by applying vector algebra.

BS101.03

Simplify trigonometric expressions and solve trigonometric equations which will be useful in solving the scientific problems.

BS101.04

Analyze limit, continuity, derivatives of different functions and physical interpretation of derivatives which will be applicable in real situation.


BS103 - APPLIED PHYSICS - I

BS103.01

The student will be able to identify physical quantities, select their units and dimension for use in engineering solutions. To measure using proper instruments by minimizing different types of errors and solve real life relevant problems.

BS103.02

The student will be able to understand principles, laws, theorems, facts, concepts using mathematical techniques associated with linear motion, circular motion, rotational motion, friction and to solve related practical numerical problems by applying various conservation laws in terms of momentum, energy.

BS103.03

The student will be able to understand different physical properties of matter like elasticity, viscosity, surface tension, fluid dynamics with application in engineering and practical life through numerical problem solving.

BS103.04

The student will be able to make concept of heat, temperature and modes of heat transfer with understanding of thermal conductivity, expansion of materials in different phases due to heat, different coefficients with the help of numerical problem solving.


BS107 - APPLIED PHYSICS - I LAB

BS107.01

The student will be able to measure various physical dimensions in direct or indirect way with the help of proper selection of instruments by minimizing different types of errors as a group and solve real life relevant problems.

BS107.02

The student will be able to calculate some specific parameters, constants, coefficient etc. signifying unique properties of materials with standard experimental procedure supported by theoretical formula, laws by collecting and tabulating data as a team.

BS107.03

The student will be able to verify and interpret, by informal group discussion, some specific laws through tabulating experimental data, plotting graphs, finding out constant with the help of standard theoretical understanding.


BS105 - APPLIED CHEMISTRY

BS109 - APPLIED CHEMISTRY LAB

CO1

Students will be able to analyse solutions quantitatively by using various methods of volumetric analysis i.e. Redox, Iodometric, complexometric, Neutralization, etc., and the use of a conductivity meter for measurement of conductance of water sample.

CO2

Students will be able to qualitatively detect arsenic in a given water sample.

CO3

Students will be able to determine the pH value of the unknown solution.

CO4

Students will be able to familiar with the TLC method as a separating tool from a mixture of organic compounds.

BS102 - Mathematics-II

BS102.01

Apply the knowledge of Cramer's rule and matrix inversion for finding the solutions of Linear Simultaneous Equations.

Apply the equations of a straight line, circle, conic section in solving the practical problems.

Apply the various techniques of evaluating integration and various methods of finding complete primitive of ordinary differential equations of 1st order and second order for solving engineering problems.

BS104 - APPLIED PHYSICS - II

BS104.01

Students will be able to understand basics of sound as simple harmonic motion as well as wave, including different laws and its various types with their application in practical life. They will be able to gain knowledge on different portions in acoustics and its application in real life.

BS104.02

Students will be able to develop a strong understanding in geometrical optics, including understanding of the basic laws and its application in optical instruments and in optical fibers with qualitative knowledge of interference and diffraction phenomena in light.

BS104.03

Students will be able to acquire a strong foundation in electrostatic, electricity and magnetism with the knowledge of various laws, theorems and formulae to apply in different instruments and circuitry which includes resistors, capacitors, thermocouples, galvanometer etc. with application in engineering and practical life through numerical problem solving.

BS104.04

Students will be able to make concepts of modern physics which include semiconductors, diodes, rectifiers, transistors, amplifiers, solar cell, photo cell as well as production of X-rays and Laser with their underlying theories, different properties and numerous applications in modern era along with a brief understanding on nanotechnology.


BS106 - APPLIED PHYSICS - II LAB

BS106.01

The student will be able to verify and interpret, by informal group discussion, some specific laws of optics and current electricity through experimental drawings, tabulating experimental data, plotting graphs to apply them in real life engineering problems.

BS106.02

The student will be able to gain a solid foundation in electrical circuit analysis using specific laws, theoretical formula and converting one apparatus into other as required through standard experimental procedure by collecting and tabulating data as a team.

BS106.03

The student will be able to determine some specific parameters in sound, optics and electronics such as time period of oscillation, focal length of a lens, resistance, knee voltage of a diode, permittivity of air and the various factors affecting them through teamwork using standard experimental methods, tabulating data, plotting graphs.
