Siliguri Government Polytechnic has a sharp intention to focus on the knowledge enhancement, innovations, developing basic technical as well as medical efficacies of the students so as to merge the expertise with flair of the students. The college offers only diploma courses and presently total seven diploma courses are running. Among the seven diploma courses, five courses are under Engineering and Technology Programme, one under Architecture and Planning Programme, and one under Pharmacy Programme. All the above courses are having a duration of three years and semister-wise system, except Pharmacy course is a two year programme with annual system. All the courses are having an intake of 60, only Architecture Assistantship and Electrical Engineering courses are having an intake of 30.
