Murarai Government Polytechnic is the fruit of the initiatives taken by Government of West Bengal to enable expansion of technical education to every corner of the state. It is located at the Murarai-I block, in the district of Birbhum- the land of red soil. Situated in the vicinity of the village Mohurapur, in the lap of nature, beside the tiny seasonal river-Suromoti, it offers soothing picturesque view and a very calm and quite environment. The institute started with its first batch in the year of 2015. It presently offers 3 year Diploma Programmes in the fields of ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING, SURVEY ENGINEERING and COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. It is affiliated to WEST BENGAL STATE COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT and approved by ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION. It is under the jurisdiction of DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING, GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL. With rapid infrastructural growth, from high end technical equipment to Smart class rooms, from tons of books to tens of journals, from able staffs to devoted teachers- the institute continues to offer high end technical education.
