K.G. Engineering Institute was established in 1922. It is run by the Government of West Bengal. It is one of the oldest government polytechnics and located at the heart of temple city Bishnupur in Bankura district, West Bengal. The total campus area of the institute is about 22 acres (66 bighas). The institute has three academic buildings, three boys hostels, one girls hostel, one beautiful play ground, modern libraries and laboratories and very good faculties. The campus is free from pollution and decorated with plenty of trees. In this institute, students are taught to be professionally qualified and expert.
Education is essential for us. Professional education makes a student competent to accept global challenges. This institute offers very good professional education for the students. Students come from different parts of the state to this institute. A student gets adequate theoretical and practical knowledge about the subject from experienced faculties of this institute. There is a very good student teacher relationship in this institute. Students of this institute are placed and established globally. Apart from course curriculum, our students successfully completed many national level projects in modern technologies like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Automation etc. Students of this institute completed projects guided by IIT and NITTTR and also awarded in IISF and NITCP.
