In the year 2016 Hilli Government Polytechnic has started its journey with Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Department to cultivate technical expertise in this part of West Bengal. Since then Institute earnestly try to establish a track record of quality education with a steady focus on equipping students with Industrious skill and technical expertise for meeting the ever increasing manpower requirement in infrastructural development and industrial progress. Hilli Government Polytechnic has been established at Teor, Hili (near Balurghat Town) in the Dakshin Dinajpur District of West Bengal. The Institute is affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Technicval Education Division) and is governed by the Department of Technical Education, Training and Skill Development, Government of west Bengal.
Welcome to Hilli Government Polytechnic. From its inception on 2016-17 academic year after getting approval from AICTE and affiliation to WBSCTVESD this institute is running successfully with three Departments, spearheaded by the qualified and dedicated teachers. Academic environment of the institute is well supported by the diligent effort of the administrative staff, the backbone of the institute who are earnest at their service to facilitate its smooth progress. Students, selected through JEXPO and VOCLET from various parts of West Bengal have studied here. Hopefully they are enjoying the learning environment of the polytechnic. Moreover, it is heartening to note that we have been privileged with constant and active support and supervision of Department and Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of West Bengal (TETSD and DTET). Hence this polytechnic is favored with adequate infrastructural facilities like building, classrooms, laboratories, workshops and other administrative and amenities facilities, equipment and books in recent years.
