The institute offers diploma courses in Engineering - Civil Engg., Mechanical Engg., Electrical Engg., Mining Engg., Metallurgical Engg., and Mining Survey affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical Education,Training and Skill Development and approved by A.I.C.T.E., Government of India and Industrial Training Institute (I.T.I.) which we only offer as govt. Polytechnic.The college is situated in lap of natural green ambiance under Asansol-Durgapur industrial belt, fostering a conducive atmosphere of excellent academic, training and placement facility.

The institute laid the foundation of modern engineering education and over the years, our system has evolved to reach and hold a unique position of pride in the technical education system.
